Wall lamp - vintage "Coupé 1159R" by Joe Colombo for Oluce, 1960

The Coupe series, designed by Joe Colombo, was originally conceived as a variant of the Spider family, daughter of the same designer, from which it retains the base and stem. The simple and ingenious mechanism that connects the head to the head allows you to direct the light beam in different directions, moving the cap up, down and to the side. In 1968, the Coupé won the "International Design Award" from the American Institute of Interior Designers in Chicago. It is part of the the permanent collection of MoMA in New York and the "Neue Sammlung" in Munich.
