Set of 6 vintage chairs by Rainer Daumiller for Hirtshals Savværk, Denmark 1970s

6 X Rainer Daumiller carver chairs. Made in Denmark by Hirtshals Savværk. Extremely comfortable, the tractor style carved seats and ergonomic backrests and armrests allow for all day sitting without discomfort. Original condition. This design was released in the 1970s with a natural soap finish. A pamphlet was available by the manufacturer detailing how to maintain the finish. Most examples that can be found now have been heavily varnished and thus the original ’look’ lost. These 6 chairs have not been altered at all and show a very natural patina and more soap finish can be added on request. Some chairs have a few very small chips and scrapes, typical of furniture of this vintage. The corresponding dining table in exactly the same original condition, with 2 extensions, is available on request and a favourable price can be had by buying the complete ensemble.
