Vintage kinetic aluminum pendant lamp by Henri Mathieu for Lyfa, 1970

Space Age kinetic suspension in aluminum, designed by Henri Mathieu and produced by Lyfa. Henri Mathieu, Verner Panton, Louis Weisdorf among others, have explored this principle of sculptural lighting made of brushed aluminum strips pierced by a central axis and deployed around it. Reference to marine fauna (conchs) or space (phases of the moon) this suspension with the appearance of a UFO is iconic and diffuses a unique source of light.
