Pair of vintage "Arconda" chairs by Paolo Piva for B&B Italia, Italy 1980s

A spectacular pair of post modern ’Arconda’ chairs from the Arcadia series in 1985, designed by Paolo Piva, Italy. Paolo Piva is one of the most prominent Italian architect-designers of the late 20th Century. Piva collaborated with various well known manufactures such as De Sede and Thonet but with these particular chairs he worked along side B&B Italia to produce the ’Arcadia’ series in 1985. The legs, seat and the backrest are upholstered in soft, top-quality white colour Italian leather. The seat backs are joined to the base with chrome enamelled steel tubing, on a suspension system which provides lots of comfort. Producer’s mark is visible on the bottom side of the seat. Overall the condition of the chairs are very good.
