Vintage bird wall sculpture by Roger Guérin, Belgium 1940

This ceramic of Roger Guérin was made in the 1940's in Bouffioulx, Belgium. This wall lamp in the shape of a bird is made of stoneware with coloured glass inclusions. The technique used is representative of the know-how of the ceramist who never stopped researching and experimenting with new processes throughout his career. Our example is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips and a gilding that has slightly faded around the edge. This beautiful object measures 28 cm high, 24 cm wide and 4 cm thick for a weight of 1.9 kg.
