Vintage Danish modular teak wall unit by Kurt Østervig 1960s Beautiful large and rare five bay shelving system designed by Danish designer Kurt Østervig and manufactured by KP Møbler Denmark. This set consists of the following items: - 5 Uprights in solid teak, length 201 cm - 1 Upright in solid teak, length 192.5 cm - 1 Vitrine cabinet with sliding glass doors and shelf (new doors in tempered glass) 36 x 80 x 40 cm - 1 Cabinet with drop down door and green felt lined shelf 37 x 80 x 40 cm - 1 Bar cabinet with drop down door shelf and black glass bottom shelf 37 x 80 x 40 cm - 6 Shelves, depth 20 cm - 2 Shelves, depth 25 cm - 5 Shelves, depth 30 cm - 4 Bookends in teak Very high quality piece of Danish Mid-Century Modern design. Beautiful veneer patterns and the perfect highly desired patinated teak colour. The quality of the craftsmanship is seen in every detail, one is that the doors opens 180 degrees for easy access. The sculpted pulls are made of solid brass. Satin black metal brackets makes it easy to rearrange the shelves without any tools to suit specific needs. The configuration shown in the photos are just one of countless possibilities. For an example it could also be divided into two separate two bay units on either side of a doorway or fireplace. All in very good original condition. Very few signs of use. Gently cleaned and polished. Ready for use.
