Vintage solid walnut support-height trade cabinet, 1940

Elegant solid walnut Commerce cabinet with a perfect height. This furniture from the 1940's presents superb vertical veining with sinuous patterns carved in the heart of the tree. It is composed of two doors sliding on metal rails revealing two fixed shelves. In the middle, a shelf opening with two chiselled knobs pulls out to provide a work space. In the upper part, a niche in the middle is surrounded by a drawer on each side and topped by two other drawers of larger size. The whole is topped by a top underlined by a spouted edge. This part lifts up, revealing a substantial storage space. The lock and key are original and in perfect working order, as are the chrome-plated metal knobs. In the spirit of the 1940's, two refined legs support this unique piece of furniture that will delight lovers of functional and atypical furniture. Period : 1940 Excellent condition.
