Pair of mid-century ceramic table lamps by Einar Johansen for Soholm, Denmark 1960s

This pair of ceramic table lamps was designed by Einar Johansen and produced by Soholm Stentoj in Denmark in the 1960s. The lamps have been rewired with switches and have new sockets and shades. New European wiring and plugs. Søholm was founded in 1835, in Rønne, Bornholm which is famous for its pottery and fine ceramics, making it one of the oldest ceramic factories on Bornholm, until its closure in 1996. Danish ceramic artist, Einar Johansen was employed at Søholm from 1958-1966. He designed and created a wide range of stoneware, where his “blue series” is highly sought after today among collectors.
