Vintage Componibili model KS 4970 cabinet by Anna Castelli Ferrieri for Kartell, 1967

A great classic of sixties plastic design furniture, this column is composed of 2 open ivory colored boxes, model 4970, one of which is on wheels. The whole is dissociable and thus makes it possible to direct the openings with one's liking. Designed according to an abs injection moulding process, these square-based pedestals are no longer produced by Kartell and are becoming increasingly rare. The sleek design of the componibili (Italian for "modular") can be transported in a flash: small, mobile and practical, it can be integrated into any space in the home and adapted to any use. Singular but versatile, an ally of small spaces as well as large ones, this nomad of the decor will always find a place to sit... For the designer Anna Castelli Ferrieri, "stackable storage furniture, equipped with wheels, has allowed everyone to modify their living space, to shape it according to their desires, without being encumbered by the many conformities". Copy in very good condition, no scratches, and beautiful yellowed patina.
