Mid century teak Fresco console by Victor Wilkins for G Plan, 1960s

Description: This delightful and rarely seen console table was designed by Victor Wilkins and produced by British furniture manufacturing company G-Plan in the mid-twentieth century. G Plan - E. Gomme Ltd were based in High Wycombe, England, a major centre of British furniture manufacturing. The company was revered for its range of high-quality sideboards, tables, and other cabinet goods and for pioneering the concept of furniture sets designed and made to match. As part of G Plan’s popular ’Fresco’ range the console features two ’drop-leafs’ that extend the tables surface space and two drawers one of which is lined with felt. The piece has a beautiful teak grain, warm tones and rich colours throughout. Item SKU: Condition: We have carefully stripped this coffee table and refinished it with a coat of matt lacquer for a durable and lasting finish. The glass is in used condition and as you would expect from a vintage item has some very minor traces of use. The table is also available with the option of a brand new glass insert.
