Scandinavian vintage Carnaby vase by Per Lütken for Holmegaard, Denmark 1960s

Turquoise glass on the outside and opaline white on the inside from the Carnaby series designed by Per Lütken and produced by the Danish company Holmegaard in 1968. Per designed 15 vases for the series. They came with a geometric shape, pop-era colors, and a cheerful expression. The first year, the vases came in four color combinations: yellow, white, red white, and turquoise white. In 1969, a transparent ruby ​​red color was added. The series was in production until 1976. The Carnaby series has become an icon of 1960s design due to its daring shapes and the bright and opaque colors in wrapped glass (red, coral -orange-, yellow, white and light blue)… they all speak of a simplicity that It is unique from that time.
