Vintage two-light Murano glass wall lamp by Aureliano Toso, Italy 1960

Beautiful and rare two light sconce from the 60's. New old stock, has never been used, as it comes directly from a warehouse. There is no commercial mark on the lamp, however, the type of glass treatment is attributable to the production of Aureliano Toso Murano. The lamp consists of a gilded metal base and a semi-cylindrical shade made of Murano glass produced using the ancient Venetian "Mezza filigrana" (half filigree) technique. The glass is firmly attached to the base by two metal plates at the ends. The glass shade is in good condition, some wear inside the metal base is not visible when the shade is attached. See photos. Electrical wiring in order, checked, standard E14 bulb sockets are original. This is a truly timeless piece that will fit in perfectly with any type of furniture and style.
