Vintage U-458 sideboard by Jiri Jiroutek for Interier Praha, Czechoslovakia 1960s

This piece was designed by legendary Czech furniture designer Jiri Jiroutek, and was part of the popular U collection manufactured by Interier Praha in the 1960s Czechoslovakia. This piece perfectly embodies the elegance of the so-called Brussels Style, named after Expo 1958 in Brussels where Czechoslovakia won 13 prizes including one in the furniture category. This particular sideboard is model U-458 and has one lockable veneered hinged door in combination with four black, pink and white formica drawers. The sideboard is in great original condition. There is some minor wear and tear on the wooden surface and on the formica drawers gained over the years. There are some small pathes of pain inside one of the drawers.
