Vintage wooden farmhouse console circa 1940- 1950

Vintage farmhouse console table of very good size circa 40's50's.This beautiful piece of contemporary rustic style is simply elegant, classic and modern at the same time. It is made of wood with a walnut finish and comes straight from the Perigord where it was used as a small side table in a farmhouse. It is in its original condition, it has been fully cleaned, treated and polished with linseed oil to preserve its integrity and patina of time. It is solid and stable. There is a small storage drawer with its original knob (W 26 P 30). There are of course traces and marks of use and usage on the tray, the apron, the interior of the drawer and the legs, also old small holes of woodworm, (see photos) but rather than sand it and redo it I preferred to keep its cachet which makes its charm. Personally I see it very well as a wall console against a large wall, in an entrance, a living room or bathroom, it could also be used in a smaller place or in a kitchenette as a dining table or as a small desk for a home office (space between the legs h 62 l 67).
