Vintage armchair by Jean Prouvé, Paris 1942s

Rare vintage chair "all wood" with arms by Jean Prouvé circa 1942. Variation of the standard chair because of the lack of steel in 1942... So only 8 screws judiciously placed make up the solid assembly. Solid oak wood with a patina of age, seat and backrest made of oak plywood moulded into shape, a new method at the time. Exclusive assembly "tenon-mortaise elongated. Rear profile "airplane wing" sloping uprights Vintage piece, in a condition close to the original one, seat with some splinters of veneer and some old nail holes underneath (probably covered with fabric) but without any disadvantage for the beauty of the object.
