Vintage Uchiwa Table Wall lights by Ingo Maurer for M-Design 1970s

2 available - Price is per light. Uchiwa fan lights designed in the 1970s by Ingo Maurer for his Munich based lighting design company, M-Design. Can be used as a table or wall lamp. Comes with a black base, the light held in place with bamboo wedges, or hung by the light fitting for wall mounting. This delicate light is made from bamboo and laminated paper using traditional Japanese techniques. Very good condition given the fragile nature and age - Original base, mountings and wiring in perfect working order. One lamp has a few hair line imperfections in the surface, only visible on very close inspection. The other has some slight paper loss to the inside of the shade near the bulb making the area slightly brighter when lit (only visible when on).
