Pair of vintage chairs by André Cordemeyer for Gispen, Netherlands 1960

A large pair of bright red architectural chairs with metal frames and brushed steel armrests and legs. The back and seat are made of foam rubber cushions. The backrest cushion is suspended from two wide black lacquered metal supports that are welded to the bottom of the seat. The legs are attached to the frame with bolts and rubber cushions. To increase comfort, the upholstery material extends well beyond the front edge of the seat. This particular model is a lower version of the office chaise longue Gispen 1265.
