Vintage chest of drawers U 453 by Jiri Jiroutek, Interior Praha, Czechoslovakia 1960

This iconic chest of drawers designed by Jiri Jiroutek is a classic of Czechoslovak design. It was produced by the Interior Praha factory in the 1960s. The chest of drawers combines wood and formica in colourful combinations. This piece comes in a combination of black, yellow and cream drawers, with a wooden drawer bottom and a sideboard construction as well. The colours of the drawers are original, as is the construction. The wooden surfaces have been restored in a dark oak colour. Very good condition. Classic mid-century design and a rare finish of this chest of drawers with wooden drawers, usually in plastic. Original label on the back.
