Vintage brutalist coffee table in zinc and engraved wood, Bernhard Rohne 1960

Rohne used a zinc plate that was engraved by hand. Around the zinc plate, Rohne built a wenge wood frame while the top rests on a separate wenge plated foot. The overall effect is a sober but very elegant table. These specific tables have been produced in small series, which guarantees their exclusivity. In order to prove its authenticity, the table is signed by rohne in one of the lower corners. The table is in good general condition, with some discoloration visible in the center of the zinc plate. The wood is in good general condition and also shows a slight discoloration.
