Vintage "Minerva" Corner Sofa by Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen for France & Son, Denmark 1950

A lovely corner sofa unit, model Minerva, designed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France & Son in Denmark around 1950. This high quality piece is made from beautiful teak wood in a warm brown colour, upholstered in red fabric which compliments the piece really well. It contains two sofas, connected by a table in the corner. The square table has two tops, one triangle shaped wooden top and a blurred glass top underneath. All together this creates a really nice harmony to the set. It is made with a really nice eye for detail, the wooden panels behind the armrests, curved finish to the legs and quality upholstery are all elements that make this set excel in modern style elegance.
