Set of 4 vintage Early Bertoia Chairs from Knoll, 1962

This is a set of 4 early, original production metal side chairs and seat pads designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll in the 50’s and produced in 1962-63. As early models, made prior to production being moved to Italy, they are formed from a thinner gauge wire to the later chairs, conforming to Bertoia’s idea of transparency and air, unlike later models. Dimensions (cm, approx): H: 76 W: 54 D: 51 Condition: Structurally solid and in fair condition for year with several discrete repairs and various surface corrosion most of which can be cleaned off but with some areas of chrome loss.
