Pair of Vintage Oase easy chairs by Wim Rietveld for Ahrend de Cirkel 1972

A superbe example of Dutch design; the Oase easy chair by Wim Rietveld for Ahrend de Cirkel. Most of the Oase chairs feature armrests however a limited amount of examples have been delivered without the armrests. And the result is stunning; the lines are very sober but clean and the angle of the seating and leaning part actually is much more accentuated without the armrests. The seating and leaning upholstery is removable easily from the frame. These specific examples feature a anthraciteblack De Ploeg fabric, still original. The frame has been resprayed in the past which has been done professionally. The small rubber feet are still attached to the frame and both chairs carry the original production stickers (production year 1972). The chairs are in very good condition, only the leaning part of 1 chair has some minor damage on the top.
