'Doublet' Sleeping sofa by Rob Parry for Gelderland,mid century Netherlands 1950s

This sofa sleeping bench, model “Doublet” is a beautiful and rare find of Dutch mid-century design It is a highly recognizable design by Rob Parry. A square grey metal frame, wooden armrests and a nice grey fabric upholstery. This combination of materials and colour works very well together, giving the piece a sense of luxury that will fit very nicely in many interiors The seat can be pulled ot to create a sleeping bench for guests. This wonderful piece remains in very good, vintage condition with only minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina Seating height: 34cm
