Vintage North African Saddle Rug

Antique North African rug, originally designed to hang over a camel or horse. More recently used as a wall hanging or, at 227 cm tall, a a door cover Multiple lines of patterns in warm earthy tones, what looks like repairs to the edges in hessian but which may have had a forgotten function. The underside has multiple wool loops halfway up for attaching to the saddle. There are rows of reinforced holes at both ends to support from a pole. Full of character, interest and charm Hard to be 100 on age but possible between the wars.
