Mahogany colored desk designed by Robert Charroy for the French publisher Mobilor around 1950. Rare and ingenious, the set is composed of 3 elements superimposed and maintained between two tubular metal structures by simple compression. An upper part for the bookcase, a middle part for the secretary with a flap and a lower part for the storage with 2 magnetic doors. The secretary has a light blue Formica top and two small removable glass shelves. Good general condition, wear and patina consistent with age and use. Point out a small wood graft above the key of the flap and 2 small cracks in the Formica at the level of the lateral fixations of the flap. Sabine CHAROY
Sabine Charoy fue una diseñadora francesa nacida en Marsella en 1932 y fallecida en 1999. Estudió en la École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de París y comenzó su carrera como decoradora para las tiendas Le Printemps.
