Sobre este mueble de diseño vintage

Floor lamp "Luminator" - Luciano Baldessari Luceplan 1974 Italy very good condition - some wear and tear due to age Dimensions180×40×40 cm Weight60 kg The Italian architect Luciano Baldessari (Rovereto, December 10, 1896 - Milan, September 26, 1982) designed the "Luminator Bernocchi" floor lamp in 1929, at the height of the futuristic era. The idea was to create a lamp sculpture inspired by the whirl of a ballerina, indefinable and timeless. It was a time in history when - for strictly functional reasons of aerodynamics - industrial design focused exclusively on air and automobile transport. This product aimed at offering for the first time the opportunity to craftsmen and artists to become functional to the Italian industrial production. It was at this time that the concept of a lamp with the function of a metal mannequin was first developed. The "Luminator Bernocchi" was presented to the public for the first time in Milan, at the "Bernocchi Pavilion" at the "10th International Fashion and Textile Exhibition", and then at the International Exhibition in Barcelona "EXPO 1929". The patent was issued in 1931. It was manufactured by the "Luminator Italiana", a company specialized in floor lamps and indirect lighting, created at the end of the 1920s. It was then manufactured only on order by "Luceplan" at the end of the 1970s. The "Luminator" on sale here is a unique and rare piece. It is a prototype made before the industrial production in series. This prototype is different from the later mass-produced "Luminator" for its continuous red spiral without welding. The later mass-produced lamps had the red spiral split into two pieces screwed together for easier transportation.
