Pair of vintage red wool Alky armchairs by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli, Italy 1970s

Set of two Alky club chairs designed by Giancarlo Piretti in 1969 and produced by Castelli Italia. Aluminum frame and high-density foam. Brushed metal bases. Original upholstery in red wool in a very good state of preservation and with black lacquered zippers that make it easy to remove and wash. One of them has been slightly damaged to the lower part of the seat, possibly due to having been supported on another object, that slight lack in the upholstery has been fixed and reinforced. Being in the lower part of the seat, it does not affect its aesthetics at all because it is invisible if the chair is not turned upside down (See last image). For the rest, both seats are in excellent condition.
