Vintage UFO pendant lamp, 1960-1970

Vintage, mid-century UFO hanging lamp with an oval "flying saucer" design, made of textured clear acrylic, from the 6070s. In the center of the piece, between the top and bottom sections, there is a brown - orange colored band, with vertical lines that become more vivid and golden when lit (see photos), which really contrasts with the clear sections of the "saucer". There is a chrome coloured plastic band around its centre. The lamp holder is made of brass with a hook on top (see photo), allowing it to be easily mounted to the ceiling. In order to attach the shade to the bar, there is a three pin metal system, which hooks just below the edge of the top section (see photos.) The piece is overall, in very good original condition with some light marks and signs of age and previous use, as well as a patina of age on the shade, chrome band and the overall structure (see photos.) Tiny signs of use on the top edge of the shade (see photos.) The piece has been rewired and is fully functional with a B22 bayonet bulb. (Bulb not included.) Hanging bar will be removed for easy and safe transport.
