Vintage Gavina Knoll Bastiano 2 seater leather sofa by Afra & Tobia Scarpa 1960s

This 2 seater leather sofa was manufactured by either Gavina or Knoll in the 1960s and is in solid condition with a noticeable patina. The dark brown wooden frame shows signs of wear on the upper armrests and the back, but these give the sofa a certain something. The black leather of the seat cushions and the back cushions has already been renewed once. The leather of the side cushions is original and shows signs of wear in the upper area. Classic with patina. Afra & Tobia Scarpa designed the Bastiano armchairs in the 1960s for the Italian manufacturer Gavina, which is known for extraordinary designer furniture. At a later date, the production of the Bastiano model by Knoll Int. accepted.
