Tapio Wirkkala fue un diseñador y artista finlandés nacido el 2 de junio de 1915 en Hanko (Finlandia) y fallecido el 19 de mayo de 1985 en Helsinki. Está considerado uno de los diseñadores más importantes de Finlandia y dejó su huella en la historia del diseño escandinavo del siglo XX.
