Sobre este mueble de diseño vintage

Danish Bramin Buffet A Danish sideboard designed by Henry W. Klein and produced by Bramin in the 1960s. Made of mahogany, this statement cabinet has four central drawers and two large sliding cupboard doors. All doors and drawers have carved recessed pulls, the designer's signature, and the sideboard has angular legs carved in relief. The designer Henry Walter (H.W.) Klein was born in Norway in 1919. Although information is limited, it is known that after serving in the Royal Norwegian Marines, Klein turned to cabinet making. In 1949, he moved to Denmark to study interior design at the Tekniske Skile in Frederikberg. There he trained with the eminent Danish designer and architect Finn Juhl. After completing his studies in 1952, Klein returned to Norway to set up his own furniture and interior design company. His chairs, tables and sideboards are characteristic of the post-war Danish modern style, which generally uses noble woods such as teak and well-proportioned and well-designed shapes. Later he became interested in plastic furniture - by devising a new method of manufacture - and worked closely with the Danish manufacturer Bramin to finance his activities in this field. In 1960, Klein and his family moved to Denmark to work full-time at Bramin. He remained with the company until it closed in 1980; he and his family moved to San Francisco in the 1980s. Bramin made some of Denmark's most coveted furniture in the mid-twentieth century. Bramin (also known as Bramin Mobler) is originally from Bramming, a town known for its furniture industry. The company had a close relationship with the designer H.W. Klein, who moved with his family to Bramming in 1960 to work for them. Bramin continued until the 1980s, when the international financial crisis forced the closure of the company. Today, Bramin furniture is in great demand. On the one hand, Bramin is known for creating surprisingly original and unusual shapes and, on the other hand, for illustrating typical Danish simplicity. Dimensions (cm) : 225 W x 81 H x 45 D Condition: The unit is in very good condition. There are some signs of use as one would expect from this period object.
