Vintage Red Hanging Lamp by Bent Karlby for Lyfa, Danish 1960s

Rare Danish hanging lamp designed by Bent Karlby for Lyfa in around 1960. The condition of this red hanging lamp is still very good and the wiring has been checked by an electrician. Material: metal, brass and Glass. Dimensions: h x d 30 x 45 cm. Including the length of the cord, the height is 2 meters. Bent Karlby (1912-1998) started designing lamps late in his career. He was recognized as a painter and also designed furniture. Originally he was known for his designs on wallpaper, several are held permanent in museums. His portfolio includes several of Lyfa’s most sought-after designs, including the Påfugl and the Kvadrille.
