Vintage MCM pendant lamp AJ Royal 500 by Arne Jacobsen, Denmark, 1960s

The AJ Royal lamp was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu). AJ Royal has a clean, geometric shape and excellent lighting properties. The semi-spherical housing of the luminaire provides excellent, soft light. The lamp was part of the hotel’s overall design concept. Several hotel products have achieved the status of design icons today, and in the field of lighting, AJ Royal lamps in particular have become world famous and are in production until today. The price of a new lamp is about PLN 4,300. The lamp is in very good condition, almost perfect. We have 2 identical items in stock. Dimensions: diameter: 50cm height: 22.5 cm The lamp has been thoroughly cleaned, it has an original, approx. 2 meter long braided cable. The cable can be changed to any length and color. Additionally, the headlining is attached to the lamp. Please note that the things we sell are used, often 40-50 years old, and therefore have traces of use that cannot always be captured in the photos.
