Pair of vintage wooden and metal bedside tables 1950's

~ Set of 2 mid-century vintage bedside tables in the spirit of Jacques Hitier. - Manufactured by Tubauto in the 50s and 60s, they are from the "reconstruction period" after the Second World War. - They were usually in boarding schools or military barracks. - Classic modern design, simple and elegant industrial design with tubular metal base and top in light wood in golden oak colour. - The bedside tables have a metal shelf support. - The bedside tables have functional drawers. One has a slight resistance when you open it, but this should disappear with time and use. There are partially faded inventory references under the drawers, the drawers are clean. ~ The night tables have been restored to their original state. - The metal legs have been refurbished with a "military grey" finish. The wooden tops have been redone with a golden oak finish like the original and waxed with natural beeswax. ~ All the toe caps are original and present. (couple of a minor split) - Minor signs of use and time compatible with the age of the parts on top and legs (see photos) ~ Timeless design, simple and elegant in keeping with the spirit of the times. ~ The price is for the pair.
