Sobre este mueble de diseño vintage

The figure of the fish, made in the style characteristic of the Polish glassworks, popular in the times of the Polish People’s Republic, was produced in the second half of the 20th century. The fish was made in transparent glass in which multi-colored rods forming a mosaic structure were embedded. The body of the fish is decorated with colorful spots in shades of gray, blue and red. The figure is placed on a transparent attitude in the form of fins.   Today, glass fish are the symbol of the Polish People’s Republic. They adorned the interiors of many Polish living rooms, arranged on TV sets and in showcases, forgotten in recent years, are slowly coming back to favor to decorate modern interiors. They were a huge interior design trend, based not on high art works but on artistic craftsmanship. However, one cannot forget that they were made in a metallurgical way in the Mille Fiori technique, consisting in decorating glass in bulk, creating a melange of colors on a transparent structure. Millefiori lenses are characterized by the ornamentation of colorful decorations, obtained by melting into the glass multi-colored rods of mosaic glass, often forming floral or star-shaped patterns. Fish popular during the PRL were produced, among others. in Krosno steelworks, produced by employees, after hours of works of applied art in the form of glass fish and paper tabs very quickly became a symbol of those years. We assess the condition of the device as very good, the item undamaged and scratches dimensions: height 11 cm length 30 cm 7 cm wide
