Vintage sofa dark brown modell 807 by Fredrik Kayser for Vatne Mobler Scandinavian

Sofa model 807 by Fredrik Kayser for Vatne Mobler, Norway. A high-quality and rare sofa of generous proportions with ski back sides upholstered in a dark chocolate leather with hints of dark burgundy. The sofa rests on teak shaker style legs and is in very good condition – there is some natural, slight patina to the leather and only one very small noticeable dark mark on the top of the back as shown in the photos. The leather has been fully cleaned and conditioned and both the leather and all the fabric cushions and seat bases (as shown) is complete with no rips or tears. There is some sun fading to the leather in places but unusually this is behind the cushions (as shown in the photos) which suggests that the sofa was previously stored very cleverly with all the cushions removed so as not to be affected by fading. If you’re looking for a beautifully styled, classic mid century sofa Kayser’s design is a cut above most with clean elegant lines and excellent stitching detail. Seat Height: 46cm
