Tulip table with artificial marble top - 1970s

Surprisingly light. The tabletop of this ’70s side or coffee table is from deceptively real-looking faux marble. Sage green, off-white and maroon mottled plastic was furnished with a coat of acrylic resin, creating the illusion of the translucency of real marble. On the plus side: it is so much lighter. There are two almost invisible cracks in the acrylic coating, and small blemishes on the base.
