Über dieses Vintage-Designmöbel

The Ball Clock wall clock was designed by Georg Nelson Germany in the 1950s. The classic combination of wood and brass with characteristic spheres is one of the icons of design. The mechanical clock is in its original, very good condition. The mechanism is operational, wound to the rear. With the variety of shapes and the beauty of shapes, George Nelson reflects the "joie de vivre" that is the joy of living in the 50’s. To this day, its clocks remain a nice alternative to regular timepieces. Trained at Yale as an architect and an accomplished artist, he believed that the designer’s job was to improve the world, using the perfection of nature’s creation as his guide. Two years of developing in Rome after receiving the prestigious Rome Prize, allowed him to connect with the world’s leading modernists, including Le Corbusier, Mies Van der Rohe, Walter Gropius, Gio Ponti and many others, which helped shape his writing career and industrial designer, that changed the course of history.
