Vintage coffee table by Peter Hvidt for Fritz Hansen, Denmark 1950

A fantastic coffee table designed by Peter Hvidt, manufactured by Fritz Hansen in Denmark around 1950. This is a table with an eye-catching design and really nice finish Designed with a fine eye for quality, made of birch and teak wood. The lighter birch and deep warm brown teak contrast nicely and give the table a wonderful appeal. The rectangular top has rounded corners and the rounded details to the legs compliment the style nicely. All together it’s a beautiful piece, made with an impressive eye for detail The manufacturer’s stamp is still visible underneath the top, as shown in the photos. It remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
