Vintage floor lamp by Louis Kalff for Philips, Netherlands 1950s

A nice modern floor lamp designed by Louis Kalff, manufactured by Philips in the Netherlands around 1950. This elegant piece is made of high quality black with white metal. The round black foot and black holder of the shade contrast nicely to the thin white arm. The shade is made of milk glass, nicely diffusing a warm light when lit that provides plenty of light to add a nice atmosphere to the decor It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
