Oil on panel of 1935 by Gérard One can imagine that the reader of this painting has just finished his day and that he is reading his newspaper quietly at the café in front of a beer. Certainly in Belgium or northern France. Probably one of the very first works of the artist, he signed twice, bottom right and top left. Slight traces of tiny holes top left and lower right corner crumbled (under frame). Work 55 x 4 x 1 cm
