Vintage LamPetit lamp by B. Gantzel-Boysen for Poulsen, 1966

The Lampetit is a small foldable table lamp designed by B. Gantzel-Boysen for Louis Poulsen in 1966. Scandinavian Design or Danish Design. The switch on the back has 3 positions: off, full power and half power. In 1971 the LamPetit table lamp received an iF Design Award. Lampetit is Finnish for wall lamp and sounds like Lampe Petite which is Franch for small lamp. The LamPetit is a wall lamp, because there is a small hole in the bottom to screw it to the wall. But most people use it as a bedside lamp or a desk lamp. The LamPetit is often attributed to Verner Panton, but it is not. Bent Gantzel-Boysen (1930-2008) designed this lamp and produced by Louis Poulsen in 1966. In the 70s Bent Gantzel-Boysen was head design at Louis Poulsen. Size is when the lamp is folded up.
