Vintage teak floating top desk by Victor Wilkins for G Plan, 1960

Description: This charming desk was designed by Victor Wilkins and produced by the British furniture manufacturing company G-Plan in the mid-20th century. G Plan - E. Gomme Ltd was based in High Wycombe, England, a major British furniture manufacturing centre. The company was revered for its range of high quality sideboards, tables and other cabinetry and for pioneering the creation of bespoke designed and made furniture sets. This "floating top" chest of drawers is part of the popular "Fresco" line from G Plans. It features two sets of two drawers on either side of the spacious knee hole, including a "secret center drawer with felt lining". The piece features a beautiful rich teak grain, warm tones and rich colors.
