Description: This unusual high sideboard was designed by Victor Wilkins and produced by the British furniture manufacturing company G-Plan in the mid-20th century. G Plan - E. Gomme Ltd was based in High Wycombe, England, a major British furniture manufacturing centre. The company was revered for its range of high quality sideboards, tables and other cabinetry and for pioneering the creation of bespoke designed and made furniture sets. This piece of furniture, part of G Plans' popular "Scandi" range, features a fold-down drinks cabinet, a hidden drawer and an open-front shelf. Below this is a spacious double cupboard and three drawers. The cabinet features a beautiful rich teak grain, warm tones and rich colors. Item Number: Condition: We have carefully cleaned and repolished this set to preserve its original natural appearance. We try to render the condition of our items in our photographs as best we can. Victor B. WILKINS
Charles Victor Wilkins (1893-1969) war ein US-amerikanischer Industriedesigner, der für seine Arbeit in den 1920er und 1930er Jahren bekannt war. Er wurde in Brooklyn, New York, geboren und studierte an der Art Students League in New York und an der New York School of Fine and Applied Art.
