Vintage polyhedral wall lamp by Motoko Ishii for Staff 1960s

Wall lamp created in the mid-60s by the designer Motoko Ishii for the label Staff, located at that time in the former Federal Republic of Germany. Model nº77047, made of glass (with a slight smoky tone) and plastic (very slightly golden). This is one of the most emblematic creations that the famous Japanese lighting designer conceived during her short but prolific stay in Europe (from 1965 to 1967); an extremely elegant design that is created from a lampshade in the shape of a polyhedral structure (a 26-sided rhombicuboctahedron) and a small cubic pole on an octagonal base; without a doubt a creation that draws on a branch of mathematics as captivating as geometry. It retains a good aesthetic condition, with slight signs of wear on the base plate. The electrical installation works perfectly after cleaning all the wiring (it is suitable for both led and filament bulbs) and uses a socket for a maximum E14 wire bulb. 25Watts (if filament, or the equivalent in LED for a higher wattage, in this case 60W). Mention that the bulb must be cylindrical (as candle type bulbs do not fit in the shade).
