Vintage Santos Rosewood Desk by Gianfranco Frattini for Bernini

This is a fabulous example of this Italian Mid Century Desk by Gianfranco Frattini and produced by Bernini, consisting of 2 drawers and a pigeon hole on the lower tier and 2 drawers and 2 pigeon holes on the top tier all of which is supported by shaped end supports. It’s made using Santos Rosewood (Latin Name Machaerium Scleroxylon) and as this is from a sustainable source it is currently not on C.I.T.E.S. lists of endangered species and so is able to be imported and exported without problems. The condition is very good and it retains its date stamps on the rear of the drawers and original Bernini sticker inside a drawer. Overall this is probably on of the earliest and nicest original examples on the market.
