Vintage Pirkka Dining Set by Ilmari Tapiovaara for Laukaan Puu, Finland 1950s

Rare big Tapiovaara dining set Pirkka designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara for Laukaan Puu, Finland in 1955. The set consists of a large dining table, a bench and four dining chairs, all designed by Ilmari Tapiovaara. This set is made of solid pine wood and black lacquered birch wood. The products are marked with the Laukaan Puu stamp (see photos). The condition is still good with visible signs of wear from age and use, small dents in the wood (see pictures).The dimensions are : table: h 69 cm x w 180 cm x d 80 cm. Bench h 43,5 cm x w 180 cm x d 26 cm and the chairs h 75 cm x w 38.5 cm x d 42 cm. The seat height of the chairs is 42,5 cm.
