Vintage Propeller coffee table by Knut Hesterberg, Germany 1960s

Knut Hesterberg the iconic Propeller table in the 1960s for Ronald Schmitt (Germany). The table has an aluminum base and a round glass top. Knut Hesterberg was a famous sculptor who exhibited his sculptures all over Europe. Many of the large-scale sculptures designed by him can be found in public spaces all over Germany and some in Italy. In the late 1960s, the German company Ronald Schmitt asked Knut Hesterberg to design a series of sculptural form tables in limited production with the intention of bringing art to everyday life. The propeller table is in good condition. The table is photographed with a glass top with a diameter of 110 cm (thickness 20 mm).
