Über dieses Vintage-Designmöbel

Magnificent golden velvet chaise longue from the Kyjev Hotel in Bratislava. The Hotel Kyjev by the Slovak architect Ivan Matusik was the most modern, largest and most luxurious hotel in Bratislava during the communist era. Built together with the adjacent Prior department store between 1961 and 1973, it was closed in 2011 and will be demolished to make way for a new building. The 15-storey skyscraper was covered with travertine panels and both its exterior and interior were characterized by high quality and refined craftsmanship. In terms of form, the building refers to icons of international style, such as the Lever Building in New York and especially Arne Jacobsen's SAS Hotel in Copenhagen. The chair is gold-coloured, in an original velvet fabric. Original condition with only a slight fading. We only have one available in this rare colour. Further information on dimensions : seat height 34cm
