Vintage Petit Petrified Wooden Plate In Beige, Ancient Object Of Organic Origin

An elegant petit petrified wooden plate in mostly beige tones. This object was organically formed and shaped during a petrification process of (in this case) wooden tissue. The item still holds the unique and typically grain of the wooden origin. The piece is polished on both sides and can be used as a petit plate, desk accessory or it can stand alone. These items are organically shaped and are the end products of a natural, decay process of wooden vegetation (which takes millions of years), in which the organic material of trees is replaced with minerals. Petrified wood will retain the original structure of the stem tissue, the grain and carvings of the wood, yet it is petrified and looks and feels like stone.
